The Tiniest Tiger’s Sombrero

Friends, my mom went to the Sea of Cortez to swim with the fish and all I got was this sombrero!

What do you think of that?

The Tiniest Tiger Examines the Fig Tree

Friends, I am just checking for new growth on this branch of the fig tree.

This is part of my field methods study for Zoology!

You believe me don’t you?

The Peace Peanut is Back

BBBJ Offers Peanut As Signature to Backyard Peace Treaty

Hurrah!  Bossy Backyard Blue Jay is no longer  angry at Lazy Leopard and me, Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger.  As a gesture of good faith, he has placed another Peace Peanut on the window sill to signify that the Backyard Peace Treaty is in place.

I think I will chomp some chow in celebration and then take a nap on my sun room rug.

Meow for Now!

Bossy Backyard Blue Jay Returns.

This entry is part 19 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Well Friends, Bossy Backyard Blue Jay has returned to the yard, but he is showing Lazy Leopard and me, Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger his tail feather.  He is still a little sore at us for suspecting that he might be the one that stole the peace peanut.   We told him we were sorry that we thought it might be him in the beginning. But then there were so many suspects we had no choice but to call in the big birds for help.

He said he would think about forgiving us.  I think he just needs to pout for a little while, like me when my parents do something that I don’t like.

It is really good to see him back bossing everyone around in the backyard again.

The Peace Peanut Thief Exposed!

This entry is part 18 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Grackle

Friends, it was the Grackle!

When he took the Peace Peanut, he must have been nervous  because he splattered the window.  Lazy Leopard said that Grackles don’t have to be nervous to poo on the windows.  They don’t use a box like us.  ewwwww!

I am relieved that Bossy Backyard Blue Jay has been exonerated.  He might be  bossy but I am quite fond of him.  I can’t wait for BBBJ to visit.

The Night Tiger Visits!

This entry is part 17 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Oh Friends!  The Great Horned Owl, I mean The Night Tiger came to visit!   Lazy Leopard and I were not expecting him to visit in the middle of the day, but a shadow fell over the yard and there he was perched on the deck outside the sun room. Oh boy,  he does have some of the same coloring as a Tiger doesn’t he?

Lazy Leopard and I waited for him to speak first.  He has a very big beak and extra sharp claws.

The Great Horned Owl told us that the results of the splatter on our window, excluded all but one of the backyard creatures. After he analyzed the results in his beak-er, he was certain beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew “who-who-who” took the peanut.

He told us that it was……..

I need to chomp some chow.

I ‘ll be back.

The Tiniest Tiger Tuesday

Friends, while waiting for The Night Tiger, I had some time to work on my next Tiger imitation for you.  I apologize to you in advance, because I have once again made this very difficult for you. Both of our tongues are the exact same color of pink and I think I have the eyes, ears and whiskers perfectly placed.  So, once again, take your time and try to decide which is me, Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger.  Thank you everyone.  Meow for Now!

The Tiniest Tiger Waits for The Night Tiger

This entry is part 16 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Friends, I have been patrolling between Bad Kitty’s look-out station in the front and Lazy Leopard’s look-out station in the back.  So far there is no sign of  “The Night Tiger”  I am sitting in the house looking out into the sun room so that I can observe more of the backyard, but also, because I am a little bit afraid.  Do you think the glass is strong enough to keep The Night Tiger out? ~shiver~

The Bad Kitty Back Up Plan

This entry is part 15 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Friends, just in case The Night Tiger would visit Bad Kitty instead of Lazy Leopard, I have asked Bad Kitty to wear a headlamp too.  I want to have our bases covered. I am calling this  The Bad Kitty Back Up Plan.  And let’s be honest, in the middle of something scary, who would you want as your back-up plan?  Bad Kitty or Lazy Leopard?

Bad Kitty will watch from the front and Lazy Leopard will watch from the back.  I will run back and forth for updates. I think we are ready for the sun to set now.  Friends, I don’t mind telling you that I am more than a little nervous that we might be visited by The Night Tiger. ~shiver~

Lazy Leopard to Light Up the Night Sky!

This entry is part 14 of 20 in the series Backyard Peace Treaty

Lazy Leopard is equipped and ready for a visit from “The Night Tiger”  We decided to place a lamp on Lazy Leopard to light up the night sky.  Not only will  “The Night Tiger” be able to find us easier, we will be able to see him too.  This is brilliant, no?

Here we are, Lazy Leopard and me, Gracey The Tiniest Tiger waiting for the visit from “The Night Tiger”  This is super spooky Friends.  I don’t mind telling you that I am more than a bit nervous. We must be brave in order to solve the mystery of the missing peanut.
