I would love, love, love to help Community Cat in Whitewater, Wisconsin.  They are a cat advocacy group dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. Their purpose is to help owned and unowned cats in our area by facilitating high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter services; helping caregivers to find resources to keep and humanely care for their cats; and providing care to cats in need, especially those who may not find help elsewhere.  They are doing a super job helping our community, and I would love to give back!

I would like to help the Washington Humane Society (WHS) on New York Avenue in Washington DC. This is where I adopted Big Bad Baby Twinkle from, when she was a little kitten. WHS has a GOOD heart, and a GREAT director — and being a city shelter, they get a HUGE influx of animals in every year. This shelter has many people who foster and many of them also do TNR.  Big Bad Baby Twinkle and I want WHS to know that we care about their work in the community, their staff, their volunteers, and their animals.

I would love to win and help our local shelter in Durham, NC.   Thanks for being an advocate for the felines!

My Gracey, you are just the cutiest Little Kitty!!

  • Ericakwilkinson

My cat, Tigger, is over 18 years old now and still going strong. We’re kind of telepathic with each other now after all this time. It’s strange to think that this tiny little being has been with me almost every single day for all these years. More than any human being in my life, including my parents! He’s still mighty sprightly too;  just about a week ago he chased a fox out of the house. The fox actually looked scared! So, here’s a public ‘Thank You For Choosing Me’ to Tigger Sweetbeast Wilkinson. 18 years old and still a honey.

  • Elizabeth Flynn

Hi Gracey.  The Shadow Dance Ranch kittehs took a vote and they want to choose PurrEver Ranch & Sanctuary kittizens too!

  • JanellMarkey

Wow! What a great contest! I would love to be able to help out the Marley Fund. They do such great work educating people about FIV/ FeLV and saving cats that most shelters immediately put down. They recently completed the Marley House, which allows them to help even more positive kitties. Thanks!!

Greater new haven cat project, has helped local cats on the street with the tnr program, I’ve come to them many times to help me to help the cats that I feed, they are wonderful…and i’m sure any help they can get its wonderful, with so many cats, the low dust litter its the best for the Kitties.. Right now I have 9 cats. Give are mine and 4 foster cats,I buy all the good, litter, toys, ect myself.. I do it for the love of cats, they need us.

Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light sounds interesting, especially the low dust feature.  Sounds like something I would like for my 3 cats.  My favorite shelter is Harmony House for Cats in Chicago–a no kill, no cage shelter that was founded in 1971.

Hi Gracey, I love your Facebook page and the information on this site. I hope you get your 100 comments. I rescued both of my kitties. My female kitty was only about 4 weeks and she was so tiny and my little guy he was a few months old and was skin and bones. They are both really loved and spoiled.

  • laura

hi, i love your blog and the information you have in it.  my favorite shelter is actually the purrever ranch sanctuary in Tennessee. It is run by one woman and she provides a hospice home environment to older cats and other kitties that would otherwise not have a chance at living out their days.

  • Andezwoman

My kitty, Chuck is very particular about his litter box…it must always be clean for him.  Maybe because I raised him from a 4 week old kitten after his mommy went to the rainbow bridge too early in his life.  Whiskey, my other kitty is happy that he doesn’t have to defend his food anymore.  I rescued him after he’d been in a brutal fight trying to get some food when he was living in a different habitate.  My favorite rescues are The Haven-Friends for Life and Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary, both in North Carolina.

  • Pauldusenberry

What a great giveaway.  I am certain that all shelters are in need of this generous donation. Thank you @CatsPride:twitter

Hi Gracey- I’m Athena and mom’s typing this for me .. she rescued me from MSPCA/Angell animal hospital and shelter last weekend.   I’m settling in very well.  The people at Angell took very good care of me after my trip from Springfield MA to Boston.   They work hard taking care of all the animals there and sure could use the litter.  Mom is putting my picture on here so you can see me..

I have two wonderful black kitties at home, so Black Cat Rescue in Boston is one of my favorite shelters. Black cats are 50% less likely to be adopted, and BCR helps to find forever homes for these special animals.

I don’t know if there’s anyone more deserving than Rita and the Kittizens at PurrEver!

  • https://www.facebook.com/pages/Buddy-Bears-Cats-World/157412677667027 Buddy Bear’s Cats’ World

Pontotoc County Animal Rescue and Shelter is my choice for the donations.  They can use all the help they can get.  As for my cats, 4 inside, 2 outside, they all get top of the line foods (no human stuff mind you), and we try for the best litter.  5 boxes to fill gets a mite expensive here, as well as the food to fill those loving little tummies.  They are our children.  Only wish we had room and there were no personality clashes with the old timers so we could add the two little girls that own the laundry room (read here Cat Boudoir).  They were strays that came over, bag and baggage, and have been here well over 6 years.

  • LADYLA44

I’d love to get the opportunity to try this great sounding litter, since I have multiple cats, am disabled and want to help the Arizona Animal Welfare League – my hometown shelter. Thank you for this opportunity. Luck & kitty love! Lisa Anne & our furry feline family. GO AWAL!!!

PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary has my vote.  A wonderful caring place for homeless cats.

  • Bonita Myers-Bifulco

Precious, LS and BabySqueeks and their mom are fans already and would like to share with the Central VA Spay/Neuter Clinic in Evington, VA as they are also working with the Lynchburg Humane Society to really reduce the feral population in our area, along with sponsoring rabies clinics. We have fostered 2 litters of feral kitties and has been fun and rewarding! We adopted Baby after “something” attacked and killed her mom Mittens (who I loved even though she wouldn’t let you show it!) When she was 2 months old. Thank you for supporting those who help all the unloved and unadopted animals!

  • Lisa

Rita at PurrEver Ranch is so dedicated to helping senior citizen kitties. PurrEver Ranch has my vote and purrs! >^..^<

PCARS, newly started animal shelter in Pontotoc, MS is a newly founded animal shelter that is badly needed in Pontotoc County.  Although they are just getting started they are taking in animals that just show upsuspiciously and foster them until they can get them adopted.  They are working hard to raise money to build a facility.  They deserve help.

  • Rich C.

Jersey Animal coalition all the way! They do greeat work and put in a lot of hours finding homes for their cats and dogs.

  • Majc215

Pontotoc County Animal Rescue & Shelter is amazing.  So innovative and they have accomplished much in a very short time.

  • Debbie

LAPCATS Rescue, an offshoot of Sacramento County Animal Care, is my favorite shelter and where I volunteer.  We would love to win your contest and try the new litter.

  • Anita

What a fantastic contest! And it’s so amazing that they’re donating a much needed product to shelters. I think people forget about cat litter!

  • Decvlc99

The Cat Adoption Team (catadoptionteam.org) in Sherwood Oregon helps many cats and kittens.   It would be great if they could win some Cats Pride Litter.

  • Robin Ross

The Humane Society of Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, FL) is near and dear to my heart.  Everyone in my family has adopted cats from there.  We adopted Matisse there in June 1991 and when he passed away in August 2010, we adopted Roger & Rafa.  They help so many animals and need all the donations they can get!

  • http://agamerswife.blogspot.com/ A Gamer’s Wife

This is so great and I have my fingers (and paws) crossed that you reach 100 comments :)   I have 2 kids/cats (Shadow, 8 yrs. and Peanut, 8 months) at home but must admit I’ve never used or heard of Cats Pride.  Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to try it though!  Also, I’m going to my local HS (Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, NE) after work today for their volunteer orientation to see how I can help out besides the $$$ donations I send :)   Good luck to you and thanks for having this contest!!!!

  • Katsrus

I would give it to Dane County Humane Society in Madison,WI. They help so many animals. This is a wonderful contest. Thank you.

This would be an awesome holiday gift for C&W Rustic Hollow Shelter in Nashua IA!!!!!  Carmen runs a small, but exquisite, rescue for cats, FIV positive.  These cats would dearly love to win and I would dearly love to win for them!  If I win, all the goodies should go to them.

  • Allison

I presently share my life with 3 wonderful felines — 2 of them have been with me for years after they found me while living on the streets and the newest addition to my furry family was rescued when Hurricane Irene hit. I had been feeding her for about a month but she never had any interest in coming inside — until the storm hit. She’s a very smart kitty :-)

  • http://twitter.com/PepperPom Pepper Pomeranian

My favorite local shelter is http://alaquaanimalrefuge.com/   I think they are no-kill. I’m not sure about terminally ill animals, but I know they don’t kill because time or space has run out.  They take all sorts of animals, not just dogs and cats.  They work really hard and are often struggling, I think 150 pounds of litter would be a big help to them.  My cat is a Himalayan named Teddy, he is 10 years old, very shy, he has diabetes and uses LOTS of litter.

  • Amy Sikes

My kitties and I would love to win some cool stuff AND help out a great shelter!  So many to choose from…but I would probably go with PurrEver Ranch and try to make Rita’s life a little easier for a bit.

If I were to win, I’d give the 150 pounds of litter to the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee in the Kanawha Valley of WV.  It’s a group of caring individuals who take in cats until they can find their furever home.  They often get entire litters of kitties from the animal shelter so that they won’t be killed.  It’s an awesome program and they need as much help as they can get.

  • Lilibeanus

My Cats, Beans and Knuckles are shelter cats from our local shelter, Florece Area Humane Society.  They are the best!  I could not imagine my life without them.  A chance to help out our local shelter would make the cirlce complete

SNAP (Spay Neuter Action Project) in Huntsville is a great organization.
They rescue animals and trap-spay/neuter feral cats.
They also help people on low incomes with spay/neuter services.

My cat’s urine smells strongly of ammonia and none of the litter’s I’ve tried hide that, not even those that say they do, so I’d like to try yours.  Plus I like the fact that you are willing to donate so many bags to shelters, who so desperately need all the help they can get!  I don’t have a favorite shelter, as I like any no kill shelter that takes in and tries to find homes for all those poor furbabies! :)
