How To Keep Your Cats Safe and Flea Free!

A few months ago, we talked about Tiny Timmy’s Dirty Flea Soap IndiGoGo campaign.  I am thrilled to tell you the campaign was a success and Dirty Flea Soap is now available to help all cats and dogs stay safely flea free. We were one of the 190 that helped raise the funds to get Timmy’s dream off the ground because we know how important this mission is to our friend.

Tiny Timmy had a dream to make a flea soap that was safe for cats. He wanted to make a flea soap that was non-toxic, non-GMO and sustainable.  He wanted the soap to be safe for use for cats, dogs and  people.  Tiny Timmy’s Healing Journey has been educating people about harmful flea and tick products and now the company Be The Wave, LLC  has begun to sell non-toxic flea soap safe for cats, dogs, kids, adults and the planet.

The Tiny Timmy’s Dirty Flea Soap Giveaway!

We received bars of Dirty Flea Soap and are so excited we wanted to share them with two friends of The Tiniest Tiger.  The soap box includes the story of how the soap came to be.  Here is what it says:

This is a passion for me & it’s personal. Tiny Timmy came into my life while having a severe reaction to a flea & tick product that left him with neurological damage. Timmy’s Dirty Flea Soap is a safe alternative that’s backed by nature & science to be effective, yet gentle for allergies & hot spots.

Dirty Flea Soap qualified for exemption from EPA registrations under FIFRA Section 25(b) because the carefully selected ingredients are Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the EPA.

  18. audball515 says:

We have 7 cats who have been scratching themselves silly because the fleas are especially rampant this season! These are indoor kitties, yet they somehow got them! We’ve been using Frontline for them, but they get very upset and start licking at it when we use it. I’m not so sure it’s that safe, so something non-toxic, such as Tiny Timmy’s Dirty Flea Soap would be ideal!

  19. Amanda Berthiaume says:

    I can’t wait to try TT’s soap

  20. Kim Dunlop says:

Would love to try this! I used the Dawn soap and Advantage II for my kitties!

  21. Yes we use topical, but doesn’t seem like it works too well, & our meows do not like pills

    • TinyTimmy says:

There’s an issue where fleas and ticks are becoming immune to chemical treatments. Nature is much wiser than chemistry sometimes.

  22. I’ve had to remove chemcial treatments (Frontline, Heartguard) from my animals after becoming Chemically Sensitive; now in hindsight I see if I got sick from it what was it doing to my dogs and cats (my 2 cats even suffered a seizure after using Cutters- on the lable it even says in fine print not to allow the cats to be exposed to the dogs who have Cutters put in their fur)! I’ve sucessfully been using Apple Cider Vinegar for heartworm, Food grade Diotomacious Earth for parasites, and Prickly Pear Cactus shampoo for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, etc. Lately I cannot find the shampoo to order so this might just be something worth switching to. Thanks for the chance to enter this giveaway!

    • TinyTimmy says:

Krysta – So many people are developing multiple chemical sensitivities and the general thought is it’s built up from a variety of sources. We’d be glad to help and would love to hear your feedback vs the prickly pear.

  23. Luann Lilley says:

I have never had to use flea or tick products on my cats but would like to try the soap for myself, mosquitoes seem to really love me…

This looks very promising, Hope we get a chance to try it. I uselly put revolution on my cats

  32. Patchycat says:

I have never used this but would consider it if we have another tick out break like we had a couple of years ago. We usually do not have to use preventative products, but we had to then.

  33. We use them that you get from the vet. I would love to try this.

  38. Fortunately I haven’t had any adverse reactions with any flea product I’ve used, but then as a vet tech I have had access to most everything available and could choose from what worked best across our clients. I used to use Revolution pretty religiously, but I’ve also used Advantage Multi. All my cats are indoors, however my dogs like to bring in the hated hitchhikers and share. I don’t ever use stuff over the counter because you just never know what you’re getting and I’ve seen too many clients have adverse reactions to many of them. There are safe products out there, but with anything, even ‘natural’ products, there can be allergies and reactions. My tortie has a flea allergy so I have to make sure she stays clean of pests. My cats aren’t fans of baths, however, I’m willing to try anything once and see how it goes!

    • TinyTimmy says:

RPeska – Dirty Flea Soap was developed to keep in mind cats and dogs with flea allergies. It’s safe to use on hot spots and rashes and helps to soothe and heal those issues. We removed soy (a common allergen for humans too) and cottonseed, replacing it with rice bran. Our soap is also gluten-free which is important for humans and animals with gluten allergies. Chemical treatments eventually lower the immune system and make allergies worse. Just my two cents on Advantage vs Revolution – Revolution is slightly less toxic than Advantage. Of course something non-toxic is always better. 😉

  39. Our 3 year old cat Tanuki was nearly killed by a topical anti-flea product. After we treated our cats with this product, Tanuki groomed another cat and ingested the medication intended only for external use. She developed jaundice and was so sick the vet discussed euthanasia with us because he thought she had end-stage cancer. I did some research online and discovered that her symptoms were consistent with ingestion of anti-flea topical medication. She needed extensive IV fluids and was hospitalized for nearly a week, but thank goodness she recovered completely. After that, I would never again use one of those topical medications and I am delighted to see Timmy’s soap on the market!

    • TinyTimmy says:

Hi Moka – I am so sorry to hear about Tanuki, but happy to hear she is doing well now. Timmy has neurological damage from exposure to a common flea & tick product which is why I developed Dirty Flea Soap. A lot of “natural” remedies can be harmful to cats for long term use because they lack enzymes to metabolize them. Our soap has melded nature’s wisdom with cutting-edge science to develop a soap that is effective, soothing and non-toxic.

  40. Linda Szymoniak says:

I do use flea and tick products, but mostly on my dogs, since my cats are indoor-only. I am aware that the dogs can bring fleas and ticks into the house, though, so I watch my cats closely. We’ve been lucky so far, but with the wet summer we’re having and the fact that we have an empty lot backing up against our property that doesn’t get mowed regularly, I suspect we’ll have a problem this year and I would love to be able to safely protect my cats.

  41. Elizabeth says:

I have several cats. One is very sensitive to topical flea meds. I would love to try this soap!

  42. Judy Simon says:

I love both videos! I cant decide!! This soap is awesome. My cat, Feather is a large cat with semi oily fur…she is luxurious now! The scent is lovely xo

  43. I use the flea & tick meds from the vet

  44. Tammy Dusenberry Cole says:

I have never heard of this sounds good !!

  45. Carole J Smith says:

I have used TT’s Suds and I love it!

  46. Fabby Tovar says:

I think my two kitties have fleas. I’m afraid to use products that are harmful to animals and environment.
