Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Giveaway

Gracey with Bissell Pet Hair Eraser

Gracey Won the Bissell MVP Photo Contest in 2010!

If you are new to The Tiniest Tiger community, you might not know that our Gracey won the 2010 Bissell MVP Photo Contest with this photo.

Winning this contest included a $10,000 donation to our friends at PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary.  This was a great day and we were elated to be able to help Rita and the senior kittizens at Purrever Ranch.

Gracey with Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Box

Gracey’s photo was on the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser box!

Gracey had her own professional photo shoot too.  The Bissell team was so kind, they arranged for the shoot to take place in our home so Gracey didn’t have to travel.  They knew she was not fond of traveling in the car.   Gracey’s photo was on the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser and some of the cleaning formula packaging too.    We love our Pet Hair Eraser and while reminiscing about Gracey and the Bissell MVP contest, we thought it would be a good time to host a giveaway of the new Pet Hair Eraser!

My kitty, Zoey, and dog, HollyBerry, both shed tons of white hair and I insist on wearing black all the time….not a good combination!

  • Pam C

I use vacuum, tape, bbq brush and cat comb even! With 10 pets, including foster, l need all help l can get! Thank you! ??????????

  • Stephanie Lichtman-Price

My two cats love the couch, and I will use anything (and everything) available to me in order to remove the fur from it. The vacuum cleaner works best, but it’s awfully bulky!

  • wetnosegang

I vacuum. Its my daily workout. My mind spins when I think about how much cat hair I’ve vacuumed in my life. I’m a cat lady who is allergic to cats. Worth it!

  • Sherri H

Sticky rollers for me — or rather, for Emma and Pumpkin. And when it starts to float around the room, I bring out the vacuum!

  • Pat DeWald

How do I remove cat hair? I vacuum, sticky roller and sometimes I just try to wish it away. Small price to pay for such a beautiful room mate.

  • Sharvia Sultana

    with a sticky roller :/

  • Molly Pitcher

My secret is a squeegee for cleaning up cat hair.

  • Lynne T.

I vacuum as much as possible, but my current vacuum isn’t very good and picking it up.

  • Jacquelyn S Felix

I so need this in my life! My 3 boys cats are always making messes. The big carpet cleaners are too expensive and I can’t afford much less store them in my small apartment. I would love to win this, thank you!!

  • Heather D

My husband and I both try to brush him everyday. Other than that lots of vacuuming.

  • Rpeska

We have a Shark vacuum that works well in pet hair and dirt on our wood and tile floors. I also use soft dust cloths and Pledge for dusting and hair on upper horizontal surfaces. Sticky rollers do the clothes when I can find one.

  • Beth Ackerman

I use sticky rollers for clothing and a rubber fingered brush to gather cat food, litter, etc. off the carpet. Of course, I also use a regular vacuum cleaner, but it’s an old Kirby and very heavy. I would love to have this Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. Anything that shortens my time cleaning up after all the kitties is a wonderful thing.

  • Natalie Gervasi

    Usually a Swiffer or broom

  • Wayne N Leslie Stockdale

I pick up cat hair by walking through the house wearing a nice pair of black pants…lol!

  • Molly Cook

Right now we have a vacuum but it’s not a very good one… :-/

  • Molly Pitcher

I have to use a squeegee to get up all the fur after vacuuming.

  • Leona Petrosky Lombardo

I use my vacuum cleaner to clean up after our 4 cats.

  • Linda

Oh, gosh… do I need the Pet Hair Eraser… right now I just try to get up what I can with a damp paper towel… not working great…

  • sandy weinstein

i use several things, a dustbuster, the sticky rollers, and a vac cleaner as well as a dust mop.

  • elines acevedo

Sweeping and dusting. I would use the vaccume if we got our damn electricity back. Been like 90 days without power. Incredible job, I give the pres. a ten… out of a million.

  • Pam Yurocko

I use surgical gloves. They let you get into corners and you can also feel if there is something small that might need to be cleared, but is in a corner where the vacuum won’t reach. Also, my babies hate the vacuum so this way, I can gather up cat hair oftener without upsetting them.

  • biggie55

I use a lint brush which does very little to clean up pet hair.

  • Shelley Jean Fredenburg

    I drag out the vaccuum!

  • Sonya Allstun

It is never ending I use the dish glove trick on furniture have a robot vac so I dont have to vacuum all the time and still find hair on things

  • chantz428

Vacuuming and wiping with a damp bare hand (or wearing a rubber glove).

  • jmuhj

I bought a reconditioned bagless HEPA-filter vacuum about 6 years ago and it still works great. Bissell products are wonderful — we have the Bissell Spot-Bot Pet, which is indispensable for cleaning “accidents” completely.

  • Donna Kemp

I have 3 cats, so lots of cat hair and litter tracking. I sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop and still end up with cat hair everywhere! I need this!!

  • Kitty MacAlpine

Vacuuming, and a lint brush for the hard-to-get stuff.

  • GraniceB

Rubber gloves, for furniture. Swifter and vacuum for rugs and floors

  • Cindy Loohoo

I clean pet air off our furniture with my big vacuum. What a hassle dragging it out every day! I would love something smaller and more convenient! I also use my cat’s brush with metal prongs to clean off my cat trees. It works really well, surprisingly! Thank you!

  • Holly Thomas

    I use a stick vac.

  • katboxjanitor

I have 1 cat and an occasional foster dog.

I have tried a number of things, but I use my 20 year old canister vac + a fur removing attachment (limited success), lint rollers for small fabric items like a thundershirt or my clothes.

I also use laundry – between the washer and dryer it removes a lot.

  • sillykittygirl51

i sweep/swiffer my floors every day although cat fur is like sand imho, it’s always around!

  • Sammlyn

Vacuum, brush the cat furniture, wipe beds with rubber gloves, and sweep.

  • Wendi Watson

i vacuum about 3 times a day !!! and the lint rollers

  • Monica Wong

I use a vacuum, lint roller and rubber gloves.

  • Julie Baker Parlacoski

I use the vacuum, packing tape, and a lint roller to get the cat hair up. It’s a never ending battle but one I wouldn’t give up for anything 🙂

  • Teresa Taylor

I use a combo of vacuum, lint roller and microfiber cloths

  • Kathie Fredricks-Slingbaum

    I use a lint roller.

  • DJohnson

I vacuum it up or I use a roller brush to try to clean it up.

  • susiebella

For my area rugs, I spray lightly with water, then use a rubber rake/squeegee to roll it off. After it dries, I vacuum.

  • Snider Cats

Laundry, lots of laundry as I keep throws on most furniture plus a bunch of washable pet beds and mats. Also a lot of vaccuuming.

  • Kittie Danger

Multiple ways, due to multiple types of hair, working in vet ER Rx, I have rescues at times & it can be anything from raccoon(s), opossum, squirrels, rabbits, different types of dog hair in addition to my 10 cats. Everything from using a spray bottle filled w/half water & half liquid fabric softener, spray rugs/sofa/etc & the fabric softener encouraged the hair to release when using a vacuum. Quick clean? Usually put on wet latex gloves & wipe sofa down. Hair sticks to wet gloves this method can be very messy & involve even more clean up though.

  • Linda Brethauer

I use a lot of lint removers it is an endless battle with the cat hair, but what would life be without cat hair!

  • Cleo’s Mama

I usually just let it float around the house until I either pick it up or vacuum.

  • Courtney

I wash my cat beds in the washer, use a lint roller on clothes, and use vacuum attachments on furniture and floors. It’s an endless battle against cat hair.

  • Tenley Erickson

I currently just use a Lint/Hair roller and a damp cloth to remove the hair.

  • augsksa

i currently use a rubber pet hair brush. does ok, but a lot of work. the vacuum would be so much easier.

  • Cheryl Young

    Broom. Just a broom.

  • njweitzel

You name it, it’s been used. Mainly a robo vac

  • Candy Cermak

I use rubber lint brushes, sticky rollers, regular vacuums, but this Bissell Pet Hair Eraser looks like it will do an easier, better job!?

  • Misty

    Broom, vac, tape…

  • candy kratzer

I use the roller attachment on my vacuum.

  • Deb Philippon

For clothing, definitely, tape works the best in finishing off.

  • Jeffrey

I normally use an old lint brush to clean my cat’s hair.

  • Nicole Cutchens

Vacuum Cleaner and lots of lint brushes

  • Cat Fleming

For cat hair in my aging carpet, I use a long-handled squeegee first, (it works great & really pulls up cat hair!) Then I vacuum. If I don’t have time to vacuum, the squeegee helps a lot, but it’s a lot of work & hurts my back. :/

  • Linda Szymoniak

I’m not seeing the code from your previous post? I’ve looked but perhaps I’m just missing it? I really want to get all the entries I can on this one,

  • Cathy Keisha

TW has a refillable Pledge sweeper which is one step up from those sticky rollers to clean my furs off the bed.

  • Lisa F.

I vacuum and use a sticky roller, we have 3 cats.

  • Renee Gladwell

I vacuum and or throw stuff in the laundry. Have 8 cats.

  • Dana Rodriguez

It is hard. I use the vacuum or a lint roller. This is nice!

  • Robin T.

I clean up cat hair with packing tape sometimes. It’s works pretty good, but I’m betting the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser would work better!

  • Rita Spratlen

I do the best I can. it seems hair is always a problem with a long haired cat. This would be perfect of course and thanks for the chance!!

  • Lesley F

I vacuum all the time trying to get up cat hair and sweep also

  • Cindy Coe-Verschage

I use a vacuum cleaner. I use a rubber type thing for furniture and tight places.

  • cj

My volunteer work brings me in contact with lots of cats, so cat fur is a constant reminder of so many wonderful friends. That being said, making extensive use of lint brushes and vacuuming are regular activities. This Bissell Pet Hair Eraser sounds fantastic, especially for use in the car!

  • Susan Beamon

On my carpets and rugs I use the wire hair comb that Kaine will not let me use on him. On plain floors I use the vacuum cleaner.

  • katsrus

I vacuum plus I use a wet rag to get the climbers or beds.
    Sue B

  • CD

How do I clean up cat hair? Poorly. The cat hair generally wins. I’d love to have this hand vacuum.

  • C.D

Honestly, besides vacuuming…a lot, I use my damp hands or wet washcloth to pick up cat hair. I also swifter the floors daily.

  • We have a multi-cat home. Some years ago we pulled the carpets and have all floors. We sweep and mop floors daily. Couches covered with sheets that are washed and replaced often. Occasionally vac floors. Also vac off cat trees. Brush kitties often. Never ending!

  • Russ Kawecki

With 12 cats and 3 Great Pyrenees our dust bunnies have litter after litter! We hand pick up, vacuum, use a special stone, a roomba, swiffers, floor mops, and wet latex gloves. Please we need this lol

  • Jenny Exelbierd

For cat hair on the cat trees, I use one of the cats’ brushes. It’s not the best solution. I need a small vacuum that can clean the furniture!

Wow, do I need this! I have 2 cats, but for the past year a friend and her 2 cats were temporarily staying with me. And I was fostering a cat.
I vacuum EVERYTHING – floors in all rooms including bathroom (litter), furniture, curtains, counter tops…. And, lint roller for my clothes….inevitably I get to the office and still find cat hair on my clothes!

  • Carolyn Barnes

I clean up with the vacuum, lint roller, damp cloth, none of which gets all the hair. I have two kitties

  • Kris Gilley

I use the vacuum, a lint roller, sometimes tape to clean up cat hair. My first cat barely shed at all, but my current cat has fairly long hair for technically being a short-haired cat!

  • Pleshette McGrady

Currently my hair removal of choice is packing tape. It’s the only thing I find to get most of the white hair off a dark green couch. Then I use a lint roller for the remainder. This would be a big help.

  • Tammy Horn

I use a regular vacuum on the carpet, and a lint brush on the furniture.

  • Tigger,Maizy,Smitty& Felix mom

sticky rollers, damp cloth, sweep and I live with the rest!

  • slr11

Vacuum, sweep, use a damp cloth and wipe the fur off the rugs, pick up by hand.

  • susan

This would be awesome for me. Having three cats, their hair gets everywhere!!

  • Krista Shull

Lots of ways…Sweep, vacuum, lint rollers… the list is endless! This would definitely be a much needed added tool to the cleanup!

  • Eric J McKnight

Mainly a lot of lint rollers!

  • Shelley Joy P

To clean up cat hair I vacuum the floors and carpets regularly and use lint brushes and rollers on the furniture.

  • Kathy Gale

Since it just reappears as soon as I sweep it up, I probably don’t clean it up as often as I should. I vacuum and use sticky tape on furniture.

  • Noreen Pazderski

I use the vacuum cleaner attachment for big cleaning, use covers that I can launder for some furniture and will use a sticky lint brush for a quick cleanup

  • Debra Guillen

I presently use an attachment on the vacuum sweeper for cat hair, but it’s bulky and doesn’t do near as well as I would like.

  • Krysta

Usually I use packaging tape on clothing and furniture.

  • Sharon A. Allen

I have 3 different sweepers that do not work very well. This would be a so wonderful for me. I have a bad knees so a cordless is a plus too.

Wow, I didn’t know that Gracey was a famous model! It’s no surprise though as she was a BEAUTIFUL girl. Reminds me of my precious Maisie who also passed. I sweep, vacuum and use tape to clean up cat hair. The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser would be great for furniture and stairs.

  • catchatcaren

Well, it isn’t just cat hair around here (although we have that too), we have Shetland Sheepdog hair WITH cat hair! We do our best with whatever we can find. Bissell is based out of Grand Rapids I believe and we are in Michigan, we love their products!

I pick up cat hair with a heavy duty lint roller!

I used vacuum attachments, lint rollers, and wet paper towels. Nothing seems to get all the kitty fur the first time. Usually takes multiple tries.

  • Ms. I

I clean up pet hair by sweeping, then picking up the rest by hand! It would be fantastic to win one f these

  • Roberta Montrie

I clean the kitty hair with a roller that captures the hair in a container. When full, I throw it away and buy a new one.

  • tommi

I use the vacuum….which is a lot of work!!!!

  • Phyllis Beeler

I have tried everything from wet paper towels, tape, all manner of brushes to all types of vacuums….. nothing works. I get done cleaning and I turn around and there’s still more hair.

  • Trish Short Lewis

I clean cat hair with a sticky roller now.

  • Judy Stella

With 5 cats and a dog I just can’t keep up! I use a rubber brush that just about breaks my arm. I surely could use this wonderful machine!!

  • Linda Szymoniak

With three cats and two dogs (down from three – my sweet Coonhound girl, Kyoko, passed one week ago), I’m constantly having to clean up fur. I use a broom on the wood floors – multiple times a day. I vacuum carpets a couple of times a week, and often actually take a stiff broom to them first to get up the bulk of the fur (so it doesn’t fill up the vacuum bag as quickly). We have carpeted stairs that are hard to vacuum and I’d love this product to use on them!

  • Judy Simon

found the news letter, just cant find the code lol

  • Kim Henrichs

Usually with a lint roller or a wet towel.

  • pumpkinpuddy

Mom doesn’t bother! MOL. Just kidding. She vacuums it up.

  • Dicey Efantis

With 3 cats and a dog, I use my vacuum and attachments for carpeted areas, stairs, and upholstered furniture. Tape rollers for tenacious pet hair on furniture, clothing and cloth lampshades! On the wood floors, I use a Swiffer dry mop to chase those pet-hair dust bunnies!

  • Stevi Spiers

I use the brush attachment on my vacuum cleaner and the sticky lint roller. Got a very furry Maine Coon mix!

  • Nancy Hoover

Like so many others, I have used vacuum attachments to try to clean up the cat hair but the one thing I have used that has turned out to work better than all the attachments combined is packing tape. I cut off a long piece and wrap it around my hand until it covers my whole hand (fingers included), sticky side out of course, then I run it over all the cat hair on the furniture. It picks up the majority of the hair, but I have to use a LOT of tape in the process, so it’s also expensive and depending on the cat, it can be a little time consuming. It’s amazing what we do for our furry family members (of the four legged variety that is 😉 ), but we love them and it’s worth it.
    ~ Nancy Hoover

  • Yay! Congratulations Gracey! I clean cat hair (and lots of it every day with 3 cats) with a wet paper towel and my fingers. i run the wet towel wad on the couch cushions where they like to sleep and then it rolls into a ball and I pick it up with my fingers. Or I wet my fingers with the towel and just rub. it’s a time taking and long process every day. I could really use the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser.

  • Judy Simon

I use my sweeper attachments, tape rollers, wet cloth LOL anything that will remove the fur of 9 cats from my furrrrniture.

  • susansmoaks

I use my vacuum attachments to clean up the cat hair. it is a constant job.

  • Mary Jo Krause

I sweep it, vacuum, dust bust, pick up clumps, etc………….

  • Kim Woodmansee- Hopkins

Boy could I ever use this with 17 foster cats and a dog!!! Cleaning is my second full time job but I do it for the animals!

  • Jennifer A

We don’t clean it up much other than regular vaccuuming

  • JoAnn Mowels Ridenour

I use my hand to wipe down the furniture and the cat towers. It takes FOREVER!!!!!!

  • Linda Smith-Bolger

We use a Dyson vac but it went kaput. 🙁 I’m constantly just bending over and picking up tumbleweeds of black fur. haha!! Would love to try the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser! Thank you for the draw!

  • Nancy Nemer

I use a sticky lint roller on the furniture and me and a vacuum for the floors.

  • Queenhollyfay

Great pic of Gracey – she’s beautiful!

  • Mary Friedling

I use dryer sheets, and vacuum cleaner. Neither way is very efficient

  • I love that photo of Gracey, no surprise that she won!

And I currently clean up pet hair with a regular vacuum, but it’s not very strong or effective so the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser would work much better.
