FURminator tool

FURminator Short Hair Small Cat deShedding Tool

Many of you know that I am not fond of being brushed.  I know, I know, you have told me now Gracey, my kitty just loves being brushed and that they will just let you brush and brush and brush.  Well until my mom started using the FURminator Short Hair Small Cat deShedding Tool, I rated brushing right up there with ear cleaning and nail trimming. ~shiver~

Then our Friend Romeo the Cat suggested that we try  the FURminator. When it arrived at our habitat , I knew it was for me as soon as it came out of the box because it was a pretty pink color and my mom said oh, Gracey look what came in the mail like I should be excited too. But then the strangest thing happened. My mom started brushing me and it actually felt good.  Honest it did. I even stretched out long so that she could brush me all down my sides.

Even though I am a domestic short hair, you should have seen the fur coming off of me.  And the more that came off the better I started to feel too.  I even let my mom brush my chest and belly! Romeo was right about the FURminator and he has a lot more fur than me so he knows what he is talking about!

Tap into Safe Drinking Water

Every day we all do something that most of us take for granted. We drink and use  safe drinking water.  Did you know that 1 out of 6 people lack access to safe drinking water? According to the World Water Council that is 1.1 billion people!  Many of our friends in developing countries spend the greater part of their day seeking out clean drinking water.

In developed nations,  we are spending billions of dollars buying bottled water even though we are provided clean drinking water right from our taps.  Americans have become obsessed with drinking bottled water and this obsession has grown to an annual 8.6 billion gallons. People are paying up to 10,000 times the cost of tap water too. And you know what is super spooky? These plastic bottles are creating billions of pounds of oil based trash going into our landfills where they will stay for a thousand year lifespan.

Earth! Home Sweet Home.

Happy Earth Day to our beloved planet.

Home Sweet Home!

What would we do without it?

Today is the 41st anniversary of Earth Day.  This day is the official reminder to all of earth’s inhabitants to protect our planet from further damage and make every effort you can to clean it up! This year Earth Day falls on the same day as Christian Good Friday and Judaism’s celebration of Passover. For many, this day is a reminder to clean up your spirit as well as your habitat.

Egg Hunt 2011

Welcome to The Tiniest Tiger’s Egg Hunt 2011!
An egg hunt is a fun game that we play where decorated eggs are hidden for you to find.

In habitats around the world, the decorated eggs can be real hard-boiled eggs or artificial eggs filled with candies and then hidden for children and adults too to find both indoors and outdoors. When the hunt is over, prizes might be given for the largest number of eggs found, or for finding an egg with a special decoration.

For The Tiniest Tiger’s Egg Hunt  I will be partnering with Raphael Rabbit. Raphael is quite the artist. He has been busy painting eggs for us.  When the eggs are decorated to his liking, Raphael will hide them.  Then a photo of Raphael will appear and you will begin to hunt the eggs by counting how many are in the photo.  When you think you have counted all the decorated eggs in the photo, leave a comment like this:

Egg Hunt #   I have counted #  eggs.

And Now, our first The Tiniest Tiger Egg Hunt begins!  Good Luck!

The Bissell White Sock Test

The Bissell White Sock Test starts today April 18,2011!   Super Hurrah!

You know  I am The Tiniest Tiger, and how I  love to throw dirt out of the plants in our habitat?  Well, sometimes when the plants have just been watered and I leap into the dirt, I can leave a trail of evidence in my path.  Thank goodness for the Bissell SpotBot Pet! The SpotBot Pet  makes it super easy for my mom to clean up my messes.  In fact, the messes I make get cleaned up so fast that I am back in the plants, flinging dirt in no time. And when I have made a super big mess, the  ProHeat 2X is called to duty.  The ProHeat 2X has saved my tail on more than one occasion. This amazingBissell ProHeat 2X machine is super easy to use and even gets up the toughest pet messes. We cats can get pretty messy even though we like to pretend that the dogs to all the dirty work.

Hunger Strikes by Triple T Studios

Hunger Strikes by Triple T Studios, a collaboration from the minds of  Lazy Leopard, Bossy Backyard Blue Jay, and me, Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger was made under the supervision and sometimes exasperation of Bad Kitty. It is not an easy task to keep Lazy Leopard and Bossy Backyard Blue Jay in line.

Our film documents the duress that a cat feels while waiting for its favorite meal.  Now you might think that because there is chow in the bowl, that the cat’s chow comping needs are met.  But don’t forget, we like to have a back up snack.  And if the chow in our bowl is our back up snack, and we begin to chomp that chow, then we start to feel the stress that this could be the onset of  ~shiver~ empty bowl syndrome!

We at Triple T Studios think this demonstrates how  The Tiniest Tiger lets her parents know it is time for supper.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on our Iams Premium Protection Senior Cat for PurrEver. The generous people at Iams are donating 1 Meal of Premium Protection Senior Cat Food to our cousins at PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary for every comment that you post telling us “How does your cat let you know it is time for supper?”

Without further adieu, here is our film, Hunger Strikes.

Just like Rita at PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary works hard and is committed  to  ensure  the senior cats  in her care live a great life.  This commitment to  cats living long healthy lives inspired Iams nutritionists to work with veterinarians to create Iams Premium Protection Senior Cat.

This formula has PreBiotics that work inside the digestive tract to promote healthy digestion and strong defenses. Iams Premium Protection Senior Cat chow  has a 2-part fiber system for healthy digestion and contains high levels of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for healthy joints and mobility that enable us to keep leaping like tigers!

They enhanced this chow with L-Carnitine to help keep us at a healthy weight and added high levels of the antioxidant vitamin E, to keep our immune systems strong. All cats need taurine to maintain  heart and eye health, so they added the right amount to the Premium Protection formula.
