Cat Litter Weighing Heavy On Your Mind?
Let’s face it, when we go to the store, lugging heavy cat litter home isn’t one of the high points. To get the best value, often times the container is so heavy that we need assistance getting the container into our homes, or maybe even into our carts at the store. I know we have even passed up the better value in bird seed to get the bags that I can manage without a struggle.
So when Tidy Cats introduced the new LightWeight litter, I was intrigued. The new LightWeight checks in at only 8.5 lbs versus the 17 lbs containers, yes under 10 lbs. But the litter still holds tight clumps and is scoopable. So all the strength but half the weight.
24/7 Strength, Half the Weight
Continuous odor contril
Light, tight clumps for easy scooping
Powerfully absorbent
99.9% dust free
The Tidy Cats Lightweight comes in two sizes. The 8.5 bl resealable, recyclable plastic jug and the 18 lb recyclable corrugated box.

My cat litter is WAY too heavy. I probably don’t buy it as often as I should because I dread dragging it into the house.
i dont have cats, however, i like tidy cats, love the commercials, entering to donate to safe haven that rescues cats and have pet food banks for both cats and dogs which i donate regularly.
My kitty litter is too heavy, and I have only one kitty—a lighter kitty litter would be a blessing for my little old lady arms!
With four cats, I need all the help with litter that I can get! Lighter litter sounds great!
I have two cat and usually buy the huge boxes of litter, this would definitely lighten the load.
My cat litter is too heavy and I have two cats. This will help especially since I have arthritis
I always struggle with the cat’s litter, I like to get the bigger containers.

My cat litter is definitely too heavy, especially with 8 cats and multiple boxes
I would love this for my cat. I need odor killing litter.
I would like to try this light litter.
I would love to try this litter!
Mine is way to heavy, I’m not supposed to lift over 10 lbs per 2 of my Doctor’s, so this would make the litter box easier for me to do myself, and I could lift the litter
Looking forward to a lighter litter. We have multiple cats and getting well into our more mature years makes it difficult to work with the heavier containers. I can’t wait o try this!
Yes, cat litter is always too heavy especially if you have other things to carry too. Giving my back a needed break or my husband’s back is a thing to have on the agenda. A lighter box would help in that endeavor.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Carrying in a 35 lb container of litter is killing me. But knowing there is something lighter out there makes me so much more excited about purchasing litter.
Our box of litter is so heavy that I have to depend on my boyfriend to top off/refill the litter box or else I end up spilling litter, I’d appreciate being more independent with my own kitty!
I have Multi-kitties , so that means Multi cat boxes to empty. Multi cat boxes means A LOT of heavy litter to lug around. I always seem to spill litter everywhere just trying to lift those heavy jugs of litter into the box. My back could use a rest!
Our cat litter is too heavy, especially when both my husband and I have issues carrying heavy items so this new litter will be a back saver!
Yes, our cat litter is SO heavy! We have a whole bunch of litter boxes throughout the house. I would covet the opportunity to “lighten our load” with something more lightweight. I would definitely like to try the new Tidy Cats Lightweight litter. Thanks!
I buy the bigger ones and they get so heavy to lift. I always seem to make a mess without even trying. LOL.

I have fibromyalgia and that makes lifting the heavy cat litter very difficult for me. A lighter litter would really help.
I’ve often thought that they should bring cat litter by the load in a dump truck and put it down a chute, like coal used to be. My cat litter is heavy enough that I try to get my son to carry it in for me as often as possible.
I broke my back when I was a child. Arthritis is now making it extremely difficult to lift heavy items such as the Tidy Cat buckets and drag them up 14 steps. Help me keep my fur babies.
The big 40 lb buckets are always too heavy. The lighter load would help considering I have to haul it up a flight of spiral stairs.
Litter is ALWAYS too heavy! Ugh! Would love to try this, thx!!!!
Yes it is heavy and the older I get the harder it is to get up the stairs
I have to ride the bus and carry litter that way. Way too heavy, need light weight litter.
any cat litter that makes life easer for me & cats are very welcome
My litter is too heavy, but my husband lugs the buckets to the various cat litter rooms, so it’s not “too” bad. However, we went ahead and bought some of the lightweight litter hoping it would help our grannie kitty, Frannie, decide to use the box again, and it did! I guess it feels better on her feet, or perhaps the scent is better, not really sure. Doesn’t matter, she’s back in the box (most of the time) and that’s what counts!
My cat litter isn’t too heavy , but would really like to try the new light weight version 🙂
Yes! Our current litter is pretty heavy, that’s why I have the big biceps! LOL! I’d love to give anything a try that’s easier to use. Thank You!!
The heaviness of my litter doesn’t bother me *yet* but I’d be eager to give this one a try!
Would be great to have some of this to try. Our momma is so tired of all the heavy lifting around here and lets get real, she is no spring chicken anymore…MOL! If there is any way she can lighten her work load, we is all for it. xoxoxo Dancer and the SDR Clan
I don’t particularly mind the weight of then old litter, but I *do* like the new two-handled jugs.
I’ve seen this product advertised on TV and it looks awesome. Those darned boxes of litter are just toooo heavy!
Having 11 kitties and fostering, I use quite a bit of litter….this litter would make my back not ache so much…Would love to try it out! Thank you!
I presently use Tidy Cat, but would LOVE to try the light weight. Anything to lighten the load. ; )
