Cat Power Tower! The Ultimate Cat Entertainment Center

Friends, Please give a warm welcome to Pat, the  feline behind the creation of the  Cat Power Tower.

GRACEY: Pat, first I want to welcome you to our Conservation Cub Club. I am truly honored to be interviewing  a creative genius. Not only are you the Chief Feline Officer at Cat Power Tower, weren’t you also instrumental in the design of the Cat Power Tower (CPT)?

PAT: The honor is mine Gracey. Yes, I had a paw in the creation of the Cat Power Tower. I started out as product inspirer, and then moved up to product tester. Now I’m actually the company’s CEC (Chief Executive Cat), but I think I like Chief Feline Officer (CFO) better! It sounds more feminine and with my name being Pat, I’ve been mistaken as a boy by some of my Facebook friends.

GRACEY: Oh, I like that term  product inspirer!  I thought you had to be involved, because only a feline mind could create such a fantastic cat entertainment center. Ask your dad if you can have both the CEC (Chief Executive Cat) and the CFO (Chief Feline Officer) titles at Wiser Pet Products. That way you won’t be giving up any power!  What first inspired you to create the Cat Power Tower?

How is dry kibble made? Iams & Eukanuba Behind the Paw

This entry is part 4 of 4 in the series Behind The Paw

After my mom returned from the Iams & Eukanuba Behind the Paw summit, I had a lot of questions about how dried kibble is made.  I told my mom that just because she has had the opportunity to visit and see behind the scenes at many food manufacturing facilities, doesn’t mean that the rest of us  know what an auger in an extruder is or how it works exactly.  Have you ever wondered how dry kibble is made?

Behind the Paw Influencer Summit- Iams Plant Tour

P&G Pet Care Leipsic Plant

P&G Leipsic Plant where Iams and Eukanuba Dry Kibble are made

When I sent my mom Behind the Paw, she had the opportunity to tour the P&G Pet Care Leipsic, Ohio Plant.  This is the plant that makes all the Iams and Eukanuba dry kibble for both cats and dogs.

My mom is a veteran of the food industry and she has toured and worked with many facilities that produce foods for human consumption, such as pasta, pizza, ice cream, cheese, bread, dinner entrees and even  chicken products that you might have eaten from a popular fast food restaurant.  This was her first tour of a facility that produced food for cats and dogs, and she told me that the Leipsic Plant was one of, if not the cleanest and most impressive facilities that she has seen.

P&G’s Behind the Paw Pet Influencer Summit

This entry is part 2 of 4 in the series Behind The Paw

We have returned from the Iams & Eukanuba Behind The Paw Influencer Summit and it was super interesting.  In my post earlier this month Iams and Eukanuba: Behind The Paw, many of you posted questions both here on our Conservation Cub Club and also on our The Tiniest Tiger facebook page.

There were many great questions on different topics. One topic in particular that keeps surfacing and brings  the claws out in some people is the unsubstantiated rumor that Iams & Eukanuba participate in animal cruelty. The comments almost always refer to  the same old pieced together video that was released nearly ten years ago. I want to get this out of the way in this first post so that we can move on to talk about interesting and helpful topics like feline nutrition.

I took the opportunity to post photos taken at the P&G Pet Care Health & Nutrition Center on our facebook page but I didn’t say where the photos were taken.  Some of the comments were; Is it heaven?, a luxury day care facility? a golf course?  Many commented how happy and healthy the dogs and cats looked in the photos. That is what we saw too during our visit, happy, healthy pets!

So what is all the fuss about?  This is what is at the root of the rumor.

Bird Brain Preparedness

Friends, whenever I leave Lazy Leopard and Bossy Backyard Blue Jay together  for more than a few hours I tend to get a little worried about what might begin to transpire.  It is not that I don’t trust them, it is that they think a little differently than I do.  Now, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes left to their own devices, their imaginations get carried away and the resulting actions might be a bit exaggerated from what you and I might deem as taking essential precautions and readiness. Especially Bossy Backyard Blue Jay, he operates at a high level of preparedness.

This entry is part 1 of 4 in the series Behind The Paw

Super exciting news!
I am sending my mom to Iams and Eukanuba’s Behind The Paw!

Our Friends at Iams have been super generous helping our cousins in need.  We participated in the Iams Home 4 the Holidays where just by leaving a comment, Iams donated 25 meals to a shelter in need!   We are now completing our  Iams Premium Protection Senior Cat for PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary drive. Again, our friends at Iams stepped up and are generously donating meals to our senior citizen cousins at PurrEver Ranch.  I know that Rita and the cats at PurrEver Ranch are  grateful to be receiving this high quality food created specifically for senior cats.

I need your help to feed the cats at PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary

Iams Premium Protection for Senior Cats.

I want to tell you how much this means to Rita, the sole caretaker at PurrEver Ranch Sanctuary. Rita works super hard and she really appreciates our small paws uniting to make a difference to the cats in her care especially now during this stressful time.  Rita’s daughter, a police officer, was injured in the line of duty.  Let’s help Rita while she recovers from worry and Jess recovers from her injuries.  Thank you everyone!

Here is all you have to do.

Leave a comment telling us; How does your cat let you know it is supper time?
