It is Christmas Eve and my habitat is decorated and ready. Christmas cookies have been baked and our traditional English Muffin bread has been baked. This bread is super tasty because when it is toasted, the butter melts down into all the nooks and crannies and the smell makes my nose do things that I know I shouldn’t do!
I smell toast!
My dad is toasting some English Muffin Bread right now to go with his tea. I have taken advantage, I mean he must have wanted me to leap up onto the forbidden counter because he left the stool available for my use.
My dad doesn’t see me!
My dad doesn’t seem to realize that I am here. My leopard learning has really started to pay off because I am able to slip up here on the counter without being seen. I must not get overly confidant, but stay vigilant.
What luck! He is placing the buttery toast right in front of me.
I am invisible to the human eye!! My dad is placing the delicious hot buttery toast down right in front of me. Yum! I can’t believe my good fortune. Here I go for a chomp…

Just a bit quicker and I would have been smacking my whiskers. ~sigh~ Well, I might score a tiny taste if I give him the look. In any case…
