DIY Easter Egg Puzzle Feeder for Your Cats

Eddie Easter Egg Puzzle Feeder

Spring is finally here and with  Easter coming this Sunday, I have hidden a few chocolate rabbits and peanut butter eggs for Paul and his mom, but I wanted the cats to have some treats too. So when I stopped by Kroger earlier today, I saw these colorful eggs with the heart and stars cutouts and I thought now this will make a fun Easter Egg puzzle feeder for Annie, Eddie and Mercy.

Easter Egg Puzzle Feeder for your Cats

Easter Egg with cat treats

 Super easy to make!

  •  Wash the plastic eggs in a mild dish detergent
  •  Rinse thoroughly.
  • Dry completely.
  • Place a few pieces of your cats favorite treats in one half of the egg.
  •  Snap the egg back together.

Those are Eddie’s paws. He could hardly wait to start playing with his egg.

Play Time with the  Easter Egg Puzzle Feeders

Annie and Eddie loved playing with the Easter Egg Puzzle Feeders.   Eddie studied his carefully at first but Annie rolled her pink egg all around the sun room with her nose.  Mercy wasn’t as interested and didn’t even stick around for a photo.  Annie decided to lay claim to his yellow egg too.

Eddie seemed to like the green egg the best. He pulled it close to him,  curled up and guarded it with his tail. Do you think he is sticking his tongue out at Annie?

After playing for a little while, Annie spotted an Easter egg puzzle feeder  I placed on top of the Cat Power Tower.  She jumped up to the top of the tower  and quickly swatted the orange egg off the tower onto the floor where it broke open and the treats spilled out.   She was quite pleased with herself.

Nap Time

Annie and Eddie Waiting for Easter EggsAnnie and Eddie wore themselves out and decided to rest together where they could see birds and squirrels and maybe even a fox.  But this afternoon they were visited by a special guest.

Happy Easter to You!

Hahaha … so glad Annie & Eddie enjoyed their Easter treat! I wonder if Mercy liked it deep down and decided to pounce when no one is looking. *grins*
