Friends, after my unfortunate fig tree incident, I went to spend the afternoon with Bad Kitty. He is the tall silent type, but he always stands by me and helps me to figure things out. Well, while listening for words of wisdom from Bad Kitty, you are not going to believe what I saw with my own eyes! You really won’t be able to guess, so I will show you.
My parents were out in the yard, throwing dirt! I swear on my whiskers! They were out in the yard throwing dirt all around the plants! Now remember, I get redirected from time to time when I get carried away and throw dirt out of the fig tree. And now I see both of them, together, throwing dirt around the yard. This is unbelievable! What do you make of this?
jone gagnon says
well i think you SHOULD be allowed to help them since you are so good at it.but if they let you help them you know what comes next??? A BATH…did you not notice after all that work they must clean up???humm what do you think dear one?
Nancy says
Poor Gracey! I can see why you are confused. After all, if your parents can have fun throwing dirt around, why can’t you? Maybe they could make a little dirt garden for you INSIDE so you can throw dirt too without getting into trouble. In the meantime, I guess you’ll just have to try to be good and not throw dirt out of the fig tree …. so you don’t get punished and can continue to go into the sunroom.
Jaxy & Rainey Fluffbottom says
Poor Gracey! Perhaps your parents would let you out in the yard next time so that you can throw some dirt with them. Lots of room for dirt to fly, and best of all, no need to clean it up afterwards!
Dionis Blauser says
Hardly seems fair does it, Gracey!
Gracey says
No it doesn’t Dionis. ~sigh~
Janet Vandenabeele says
It’s the curse of opposable thumbs, Gracey. It makes us think we have to re-organize the dirt.
Gracey says
I don’t have opposable thumbs and I am quite skilled at rearranging dirt. Honest I am. I will try to post some examples of my work.
Dr. Mary T. says
Gracey:
It is clear your parents have a double standard about throwing dirt around. I’m sure you and Bad Kitty have noticed this. Why do they tempt you unmercifully with Mr. Fig Tree I wonder? Oh well, they are otherwise good and loving parents, right?
~Seven (Mary’s kitty who gets into everything too).
Gracey says
Yes, Dr. Mary. My parents love me a lot. I am a lucky cat. I just don’t understand the dirt double standard.
Diane Thedford-Milligan says
Gracey, for them to throw dirt in the yard is to help the plants stay hydrated with water so they don’t dry out and die. Don’t worry, it’s all good – makes the yard look pretty, too!
Gracey says
ok Diane, I understand what you are saying, but when I throw dirt out of the fig tree, it is all good to me.
Janet Collins says
LOL Gracey!!! Doesn’t make sense, does it?! I can see where that might be a little confusing. 🙂
