Friends, I could not forget about these two plants no matter how hard I tried. I spent the morning with Lazy Leopard watching the snow and looking for Bossy Backyard Blue Jay and that was great, but I kept thinking about those plants in the office.
So, I decided to go see if they were doing alright. Just when I almost had my paw on one of the leaves, I was airlifted onto my mom’s lap. She told me to please try to behave myself. I thought about behaving, I really did.
But then I started thinking about shredding, I mean pruning the plant on top the filing cabinet again. Those super green tender leaves need some attention from me, I am just sure of it.
I almost had the plant in my claws when I heard “GRACEY LOU!”
So I decided to sit down and look innocent, I mean think about what to get my mom for Christmas.
Do I look like a Cat that could cause any real trouble? My mom didn’t think so either so when she went back to the computer …
I made one giant stretch and ~BAZINGA~ I got the stem in my paw and just when I was ready to bite into a tender green leaf….
I was not only airlifted out of the office but this is now my view of the office this afternoon.
~heavy sigh~
So, this is me Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger taking a Time Out this afternoon. My mom must not be too mad because she turned my personal heater back on in the sun room.
Meow for Now.

Gracey, my kitty (Mindy – may she rest in peace!)used to do the same thing years ago. It was hard for me not to laugh because it was so cute! But with plants, parents must be diligent in protecting their feline family members because they can quickly become very sick (or … gulp … worse!) if they eat them.
Glad things are better though. You’re doing a great job, sweetie keeping an eye our for your cousins. Love ya!

Sorry for you Gracey Lou! My three cats love my plants and it’s only natural, it reminds cats of the outdoors. Mario[ace]Bros. kind of helps me prune my plants, only dead leaves for him, Stormie and Norton are older cats and know what to go for, the fresh green leaves and stems. Spent much time to find out which were poisonous and those that were not on the internet and some books. Unfortunately, imake it hard for my kitties as itend to keep alot of plants all over the house. I don’t like constant disaplining them, so occassionally icatch them on the couner or scrtaching there nails on the wooden cabinets, they is a quiet time in the blue room. Be good for mama!

Gracey! You are so funny! I know you were just trying to put the dangling leaves back up on the cabinet. But you must NOT eat them! They are dangerous! We cannot have any plants with 13 kitties, someone is always spilling them or eating them! <3

Oh, Gracey Lou, I have a hard time saying no to some things, too, but really, that plant could make you very, VERY sick and maybe cause a trip to the vet! No matter how loudly it calls to you, don’t give in! It is poisonous to kitties, and to kids, too, so I have to hang it way up high to keep Jaxy Cat from playing SWAT with it. Jaxy also likes to eat lemongrass leaves, but they are safe for kitties so I let her do that. Sometimes I have to hide the lemongrass to let it grow back a little. Jaxy likes lemongrass almost better than catnip…

Gracey, Bob could give you a few pointers on looking innocent. Work on saying and outraged, “What?”

You were just having a little fun, Gracey! I wish I could come play with the plants too…My mom keeps herb plants in her bedroom window, and her bedroom is off-limits for me! I love living vicariously through you Gracey! Love <3 Buster

Oh Gracey Lou! My cats probably wish I wouldn’t let them nibble on our house plants, especially when it makes them feel sorry in their tummies later. You have a good mom!
