Meal Time is Family Time
One of the best parts of the day is when we all gather for our evening meal. We get to share what happened during the day, have a few laughs and enjoy nutritious food. Of course meal time includes Annie, Eddie and Mercy. We prepare the cats’ meal at the same time we prepare ours and then we all eat together. The image above looks like it could be both our meal and the cat’s dinner in the can, right? That great looking Chicken Soup with Pumpkin is Funky Chunky Chicken Soup, from Weruva.
As you can see the ingredients in Weruva cat food maintains a natural look and recognizable texture so you can see and understand what your cat is eating. In fact, the chicken looks just like the chicken you see on a shredded chicken sandwich. There is a reason for this similarity too.
The Weruva Difference
All Weruva cat food is produced in a human food facility according to international human food processing standards. Weruva calls these formulas “human style” products because all formulas use true fit for human consumption ingredients such as boneless, skinless, white chicken breast and fish loins flaked off the bone. Weruva protein ingredients are the same exact ingredients used in products for people around the world. Cats get the same cuts, and their food is processed under the same standards as the human food side. The final products are for cats only and are not marketed for human consumption.
Processed in a Human Food Facility – Weruva formulas are processed in a state of the art human food facility. Arguably the strictest standard is The British Retail Consortium (BRC). The Weruva factory earned an “A” grade on the BRC standard. This grade applies to the pet food processing just the same.
No Mystery Mush – Weruva food ingredients are not blended into the meatloaf style pate. They flake the protein cuts off the bone, and they are then hand placed into cans along with other food ingredients that may be in the formula.
The Weruva philosophy is “what you see is what you get.” The company wants you to see and identify the quality of the ingredients that are listed on the ingredient statement.
Eddie is a Picky Eater
Our Eddie is a picky eater. Perhaps more so than Annie and Mercy because he has sensitive gums. We love that that the Weruva products contain 80% water, from the moisture in the cuts of meat along with water added just to be sufficient for processing. This moisture content helps keep cats hydrated for optimum health.
The Weruva TruLuxe line features Australian Grass Fed Beef, Pink Salmon, Basa and Turkey in a base of the original Weruva products people trust and cats love. Weruva Cans offer chicken formulas free of fish and we like that because we limit the amount of fish our cats eat. You can learn more about Wervua by checking out all of the different products available for cats by visiting Weruva.com. You can also find Weruva on Facebook and Twitter.

Weruva is new to me, so thank you for this post! I’m always looking for the best foods to feed my cat, and this one definitely looks like the best I’ve ever seen.
I was just reading your post about Weruva cat food, and it has left me curious. I have an elderly cat that has suffered with irritable bowel issues his entire life. He was put on steroid therapy by the vet for bowel inflammation and the steroids caused him to develop diabetes. The vet thinks that a large part of his issues come from food allergies–we have tried all kinds of different brands of foods but all he will eat is Fancy Feast canned food or chicken breast. I don’t mind giving him the chicken, but I worry about him not getting the vitamins and nutrients that he needs. Even giving him the chicken, the meds and insulin still keep his system inflamed. The vet thinks that if we could get his bowel issues under control it would control his diabetes as well and he wouldn’t have to take insulin. The Weruva chicken food might be the answer! I am going to try and find it here locally to try it with him and see if it might help with his problems! I’ll let you know!
