10 Little Things My Parents Love About Me

Gracey's Blog

14 Oct

Today my parents were working away cleaning and carrying on and I was feeling a little neglected. After a couple of hours, I had to put my paw down.  I walked into the office and  meowed with all my might. They both stopped dead in their tracks and looked at me. I was like, well, are you going to pay attention to me?

So my mom came over and scooped me up into her arms and my dad scratched me behind my ears.  Then we came out into the kitchen, and I got a treat.  They even  let me sit at the counter with them.  Then they told me how special I am and how much they love me.  I started to purr because then I knew we were going to play a game that always makes me feel better. They make a list of some of the little things that they love about me. Here is what they said today.

Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger

10 Little Things My Parents Love About Me.

  1. The way I wrinkle my nose  up when I am eating my dinner
  2. The “crunch crunch crunch” sound I make when I am chomping my treats.
  3. When I chat with them.  I am quite talkative.
  4. How I curl up on the sofa slanket and put my paw on their hands.
  5. When I curl up on their bathrobes and refuse to move so they can use them.
  6. When I come running and meowing to the door when they return home.
  7. My mom likes it when I come to get her at the end of the work day. Enough is enough and I tell her so by placing both of my paws on her leg and very gently extend my claws.
  8. My dad likes it when I trot beside him with my tail up and curled on our way to the kitchen for our tea time.
  9. They really love my whiskers. When they find one somewhere in the house, they pick it up and place it in a special box.
  10. When I give them the slow blinks.  That is how I tell them I love them too,

What is a little thing that you love about your cats that share your habitat?

Gracey, since I have so many kittehs, I will just keep this to one reason for each of them 🙂

Little things I love my about my kittehs:

Missy Mouse loves to sit in the kitchen window and chatter at the birds.

Dancer is my Guardian Angel. And he is my best cuddler.

Magic Man loves to grab my arm with his paws and he holds onto it while he licks my arm.

Shoshone dances on my feet when he really, really wants his *squish* (whipped cream).

    Bear loves to headbump.

Cherokee loves to carry a toy around in her mouth and then call out to me.

Cian loves to *sing* in the bathtub.
Bandit is so kind and gentle to all.

Choctaw loves to play with Missy Mouse. He lets her whoop on him but he is always super gentle with her.
Sister Wolf loves to make us all lots and lots of *biscuits*.

Shamus never misses a trip to the bathroom, to keep me company.

Duleek is my *stompy* boy. He stomps all over me, until all is purrfect, then he lays down on me.

Keeley does the big *flop* when she lays down beside me.

    Shaylee is snuggler.

    Conamara is my *Drama Queen*.

Kael loves to share coffee time with me, laying on my leg.

Keaira loves to make little trill sounds.

Papa Mick loves to attack the Turbo Scratcher everytime I walk into the room.

Lakota loves to play fetch and play catch with his mousie. And do the *curly dance*.

Crow Warrior always cuddles with his sister, Pocahontas, to keep her warm.

Iroquois always greets me by standing on her hind legs with her front paws on my leg.

Comanche loves to lick my boots.

Pocahontas loves to walk between my feet or flop down in front of me.

Meowmy lets me pet her when I feed her (she is feral).

Peanut Butter follows me every where and trots alongside with her tail straight up and curled at the tip (?)
Cocoa Bean flops over for belly rubs as soon as I start to pet him.

Rain loves to get skritches and cuddles every morning before she has her Temptations.

I love it when Harmony “scratches” on the leg of my pants when I get home from work. She was declawed before she found me, so it just tickles and doesn’t do any damage, but it’s a nice way for her to get my attention and let me know she wants attention (or dinner!)

I LOVE MY MIA WHEN SHE KNOWS I’M NOT FEELING WELL AND SHE LAYS AS CLOSE TO ME AS SHE CAN AND RESTS HER PAWS ON MY HAND. I THINK SHE KNOW S THAT SHE FOUND A GOOD PET.

I love it when my Teddy lies on the chair next to my computer desk and reaches out everyonce in a while with a paw, asking to be petted.
I love it when my Abby follows me to the bathroom for her special petting time.

That is a wonderful list! Each of my furry kids has their own distinct personalities and ways of getting my attention. When I go to bed and read my Ishmael comes with me and demands lots of attention before he finds a comfy spot so he can go to sleep too. Hidti likes to lay on the top of the couch behind my head while I watch TV and Shadow will run against my legs when I’m on the computer and if I don’t show her some affection, she’ll cry until I do. Thanks for sharing your list!

I love it when my cat, Earl Gray, walks with his tail up and curled too. I also find his whiskers to be so cool. The end point is sharp–you can really prick someone with it.
And I even love it when Earl jumps up on my desk and blocks the computer screen.

Awwww, I love the way Maggie brushes up against my cheek with her cheek, purring!!!  I always say, “That is so sweet Maggie”, …you know, in that high kitty pitch we humans use 😉

I love the way my kitten, Oliver, often walks around with his beautiful plume of a tail up and over his back, sometimes touching his head.  We wonder if he is part squirrel.  I love it when Lucky sits and cuddles with me when I’m on the computer,  and I love how Max curls up with me in bed at night.

The way Mimi will barge in while I’m having dinner so I can scratch her belly before I get to eat… She has me trained to work before I get a treet!

@facebook-100000474397458:disqus  That seems fair to me.  I usually get my dinner before my parents eat theirs, or I give them my sad eyes. 🙂

I love the way my Loki laid on my head at night, and fluffed my robe for me, and spent all day long on my lap on my days off from work. Unfortunately I will never have those things with Loki again because he left this world last week to be with Bast in her temple to wait for me in the afterlife. I love the way Tom attacks the dog when the dog is hiding under the covers, will only sleep between me and my body pillow, and is being extra loving since his brother left.

Star I am so sorry for your loss of Loki.  I am sending you a nosetap and hugs. xoxox We will light candles for you and Loki in our candle memorial tomorrow night.

Thank you Gracie for the nosetap and hugs! And the memorial candle is a very touching thought, especially since tomorrow will be one week since our loss. Extra scratches behind the ears for you tonight, and nosetaps from Tom!

Star, I did a double take when I saw a picture of your Loki.  He could be the twin to my Otis! Otis like your Loki lays on my head at night, and at this very moment is laying behind my back purring and keeping me warm. Here is a picture of my Otis. I’m truly sorry for your loss, and will say an extra prayer tonight for you and Loki.

Star, your Loki looks so much like my Buddy.  He passed away 4 months ago, and  I will miss him forever.  He was such a special boy.  He also liked to lay on my head at night.  My sympathy to you for your loss.

I love the way Piglet head-butts us on the lips to show he loves us, and flops on his back to get his tummy rubbed. Owl prances on her tiptoes and purrs so loud you can hear her across the living room when she needs to remind me to slow down and spend some quality time with her.  Pebbles buries her face in my hair and presses her cheek to mine…when she isn’t mad at me for giving her yucky banana flavored meds, or cleaning out her nose.

head butts are also great.  My brother Mercy also prances on his tiptoes.  My mom and I go cheek to cheek too sometimes. xoxoxo

Oh! I love Romeo’s “I love you” blinks too! I also love to kiss him all over his face–right in the middle of his washing it. I love the way he curls up on my feet while we watch tv together. And the love trill he makes when it’s treat time.

Love blinks are the best!  i get kisses all over my face too.  Sometimes maybe a few too many.  hahahaha.  Oh yes the love trill is also a good one! xoxo
