~Alert~ Chow Code Unknown. I need your help.

Gracey's Blog· Feline Nutrition

26 Jul

Whoa! Friends, this is not something that I took into consideration when Bad Kitty and I  crafted The Tiniest Tiger’s Chow Code Alert Chart.  Quite frankly, one of my parents munching morsels of chow did not even enter our minds as a possibility.

Yet here is my own dad caught suspiciously close to my chow and in an unusual position for a human.  My dad  claims  he was straightening out my Chow Chomping Rug that just came out of the dryer. He seemed to laugh nervously when he realized I was watching him.  He scratched me behind my ears and said “There you go, Gracey.  Your rug is back in place.”

“hmmm”

All, I can tell you is this.  The chow level in my bowl upon seemed to go from Code Yellow to Code Orange upon closer inspection.   The rug was still warm from the dryer and smelled all clean like my Slanket when it comes out of the dryer.

Friends, I need your help.

Please let me know what you think about this by participating in our poll. Your answers will help Bad Kitty and I decide whether we need to add a new category to our Chow Code Alert Chart.  Thank you everyone!

Gracey, I think he did eat a few pieces. He was just making sure it tasted ok. I check my kitties food myself too. After all I wouldnt let them eat something that doesnt taste good!! He was just being a good dad.

No worries, Gracey – I think your Dad was just tidying up your feeding area.

    Hey Gracie!
Sometimes my girls won’t eat until they have my assurances of how delicious their food is, and sometimes they won’t eat it unless it’s all piled up in the center of their dish, so I have to “spatularize” it out of the corners. Maybe that’s what your dad was trying to do for you. I think you should trust that he’ll always do what’s best for you.

Gracey, do you eat kibble or canned?

Maybe he was doing a taste test. Making sure it was “up to snuff”.Or maybe sniff. Just tell him to get his own food next time. I know MY cats would!

Hey Gracey, My kitty, Angel, is always telling me she wants to eat, she never wants to see the white at the bottom of her bowl, but she’s getting chubby, what do I do?

This is why we should make cat food out of people food. Too bad it’s so expensive! But, then your dad could make enough for him AND you. Of course, he could have been taste-testing it for you. Making sure it’s up to your standards? I know I have a selective cat and it’s hard to please her! Or maybe he was just straightening out your rug. Stuff from the dryer gets wrinkled awfully fast…

Do you eat canned or kibble?

Of course he did. And of course he’s not going to admitt to it. He probably just wanted to taste it to see if it was a good late night snack in front of the TV. Next time you see him eating, smell his breath for signs.
