The Art of Cat Food #InspiredByCrafted

Hill's Crafted

The Art of Small Batch Crafted Food

Before I went back to school for my Master of Zoology degree, I spent my time in the specialty food channel.  I apprenticed in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy to learn the art of making pasta.  I learned about the different types of wheat flour that are used to make pasta with the best flavor and texture. I learned the Italian way of preparing a meal by choosing  quality ingredients from the local markets.  These carefully selected items were then prepared in a simple way but yielding fantastic flavor.  This was the secret to our award-winning pasta; that we made our ravioli in small batches, with carefully selected ingredients with unmatched flavor.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition’s Ideal Balance™ Crafted™

Ideal Balance Crafted

Now crafted foods are available in everything from chocolate to cheese and are in demand from consumers.  This desire for feeding our families the best was the drive behind the creation of Hill’s Pet Nutrition’s new Ideal Balance™ Crafted™ brand.  Hill’s knows we love our cats and want to feed them foods made with quality ingredients and balanced nutrition made the way we cook at home.

Ideal Balance Crafted cat products are made in an innovative way through an unusual slow cooking process with new, unique and custom shapes to maximum appeal for finicky feline palates.  This innovation is the result of many years of Hill’s research with pets to understand the important impact of texture and shape in improving palatability for cats.  The Ideal Balance Crafted dry cat foods are gently cooked at 250-300 degrees and made into kibble featuring custom shapes and a crispy texture cats love.

This new cat food is created in small batches, just like we make our own food. Their experienced, dedicated craftsmen create unique recipes using high-quality proteins, wholesome vegetables and ancient grains.  Hill’s Pet Nutrition took time to study and create this new line of cat food with the following benefits:

Crafted with Care

  • Made in small batches
  • Natural ingredients, perfectly balanced
  •  100% Balanced Nutrition Guaranteed or your money back
  •  Made in the USA
  •  No wheat, corn or soy
  •  No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
  •  Available in Grain free varieties

Annie Eddie crafted

Annie and Eddie loved the Grain-Free Herbed Chicken & Chickpeas.  This cat food is a  blend of natural chicken seasoned with rosemary, natural spearmint and green tea paired with iron-rich, gluten-free chickpeas for a delectable, grain-free indulgence.  I  noticed the texture and shape right away and think the kibble was easier for Eddie to pick up and chew.  He liked it so much he even crowded Annie a bit making sure he got more than his share.  Both cats were left wanting more.

Ideal Balance Crafted is currently available at PetSmart.  The new line will be on store shelves at Petco, Specialty Retailers and on Amazon.com by the end of April.

Joanne McGonagle Namibia

Hi, I’m Joanne and I love all cats. With a Global Field Master of Zoology degree focused on big cat conservation, I like to learn and talk about big cats too. I share my habitat with Paul and we were adopted by our cats Annie, Eddie and Bob.

The Tiniest Tiger has a fierce following of cat lovers and we’d love it, if you’d join us.
