Happy Mother’s Day to you! Our Mother’s Day post, written by Gracey more than a few years ago now, was on of our most popular. Annie and Eddie followed in her paw prints a few years later to celebrate Mother’s Day with their own tribute to the things mothers do for us for which we are grateful whether we are lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars, house cats or humans.
Mothers Love Us
Mother’s will love us no matter what we do. Sometimes we really push the limit, but they are always there to love and comfort us.
Mothers make us feel safe
Mothers help us feel safe and secure. When we are worn down and tired, just knowing they have our backs enables us to rest. While we sleep, they keep watch.
mothers love continues as we grow
A mother continues to love us and one might argue that her love continues to grow as we do. Mothers stand by us, listen to our problems as we experience growing pains.
Mothers will nudge us back into Line
When we start to wander too far from safety, a mother will attempt to gently nudge us back into line.
mothers know when we need a good scolding!
If the nudge doesn’t accomplish the task, mothers know how to give us a good scolding to scare us back into good behavior.
Mothers have enough love for everyone
More cubs, more worries for their safety, but enough love for everyone. Mothers do their best to keep everyone safe, fed and healthy.
All mothers deserve our love and gratitude
All mothers, big and small, deserve our love and gratitude. Without them life would be a lot more difficult to navigate.

A special wish for all those who care for animals in shelters and rescues. Without your love and care these sweet beings would never find their forever homes. Without Donna and her team at Grayson County Humane Society, Annie and Eddie would not have survived to find their home with us.
This year we welcomed our wild kitty Bob into our hearts.
